Terms & Conditions – Abela Home Services
Conditions of Entry
Clients must ensure that the property is safe and accessible for Abela Home Services to carry out the scheduled works. This includes providing clear access to all work areas and ensuring that pets are properly secured prior to our arrival.
If our team is unable to safely access the property due to unsecured pets, locked gates, restricted access, or unsafe site conditions, Abela Home Services reserves the right to charge a call-out or attendance fee for the scheduled visit.
Payment Terms
Invoices are payable in accordance with the payment terms stated on the invoice. Abela Home Services reserves the right to charge interest at a rate of 10% per week on any overdue invoices until payment is received in full.
The client agrees to be responsible for any debt recovery costs, administrative fees, or legal expenses incurred in the collection of overdue payments.
Quotation Validity
All quotations are based on the information provided at the time of assessment and are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
All quotations and cost estimates are provided without obligation and may be withdrawn or revised prior to acceptance.
Scope of Work
Quotations are based on the services requested at the time of quoting. Any additional work requested by the client or required outside of the original scope may incur additional charges.
Where possible, variations will be discussed prior to proceeding; however, work requested or required on the day may be charged accordingly.
Site Condition Variation
The quoted price is based on the visible and prevailing site conditions at the time of assessment.
Should unforeseen circumstances arise during the works—including but not limited to rock, buried debris, tree roots, concrete, hidden structures, poor soil conditions, underground obstructions, or other hazards—Abela Home Services reserves the right to review and amend the quotation accordingly.
Any variation in cost resulting from such conditions will be communicated to the client where reasonably practicable.
Underground Services Disclaimer
The client is responsible for identifying and marking the location of any underground services, including but not limited to irrigation systems, plumbing, drainage, electrical wiring, gas lines, communications cables, or other infrastructure.
Abela Home Services will not be liable for damage to any underground services that are unmarked, incorrectly marked, or unknown prior to the commencement of works.
Irrigation System Disclaimer
While every effort is made to avoid damage, Abela Home Services is not responsible for pre-existing faults or underlying issues relating to irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, pipes, wiring, valves, or controllers during landscaping or lawn renovation works.
Any repairs, adjustments, or replacements required due to age, malfunction, or unmarked irrigation infrastructure are not included in the quoted price and may incur additional charges.
Turf Establishment Disclaimer
Abela Home Services will take all reasonable care during the preparation and installation of turf, including appropriate soil preparation and installation practices.
However, we cannot guarantee turf establishment in areas where adequate irrigation or watering practices are not maintained.
Proper watering, fertilising, and ongoing maintenance are the responsibility of the client and are essential for successful turf establishment and long-term lawn health.
Weather & Scheduling Delays
Outdoor works are subject to weather conditions and environmental factors beyond our control. Abela Home Services reserves the right to reschedule works where weather conditions make it unsafe or unsuitable to proceed.
Clients will be notified and the works will be moved to the next available suitable date.
Client Delays
If scheduled works are delayed, postponed, or cancelled by the client with insufficient notice, Abela Home Services reserves the right to charge rescheduling fees, lost labour costs, or additional attendance charges where applicable.
Material Availability & Price Variations
Quotes are based on current supplier pricing and material availability at the time of quotation.
Should materials increase in price, become unavailable, or require substitution prior to installation, Abela Home Services reserves the right to adjust the quoted price accordingly or provide a suitable alternative product.
Waste Removal
Where green waste removal is included within the quotation, waste will be removed from site and disposed of responsibly.
Any additional waste not included in the original scope of works may incur additional disposal or labour charges.
Property Damage & Pre-Existing Conditions
Abela Home Services will take all reasonable care when working on site. However, we will not be held responsible for damage to pre-existing fragile, deteriorated, or poorly installed structures, including but not limited to old fencing, edging, irrigation components, garden lighting, paving, or retaining elements.
Acceptance of Quote
By accepting this quotation, either verbally or in writing, the client agrees to enter into a binding agreement with Abela Home Services and accepts the above Terms & Conditions.
